Add-on service
An optional service offered alongside a core engagement, priced and scoped separately from the main contract or retainer.
An optional service offered alongside a core engagement, priced and scoped separately from the main contract or retainer.
Example
A branding agency's core package covers logo and style guide; an add-on service for a rush 48-hour turnaround, or ongoing brand-asset production, is quoted and contracted separately.
Why it matters for agencies
Add-ons are a clean way to monetize requests that would otherwise become unpaid scope creep. When a client asks for something adjacent to the core engagement, having a pre-priced add-on ready to offer turns a scope conversation into a quick upsell instead of a negotiation.
