Is creating a pitch deck template out of scope for a web design project?
Usually yes. A presentation template is a different format and deliverable than a website — it draws on the same brand system, but the layout, format, and design considerations are distinct.
With the website delivered and a brand system already established, a client sometimes asks for that same look applied to a pitch deck template — something their team can use for sales or investor presentations. It's a reasonable next ask given the brand work already exists, but a presentation template is a genuinely different format: slide layouts, chart and data treatments, and a different aspect ratio and use case than any web page.

Usually yes. The web design project priced and delivered web page templates; a pitch deck template is a separate asset type. The existing brand system (colors, type, logo usage) carries over and should make the work faster than starting cold, but that's an efficiency, not evidence it was already included.
